holiday sales for toys
They say the toy industry has been hard hit since 911- that’s not news to anyone in it. Since we deal mostly with specialty stores at Wild Heart Ranch-we have seen, heard and felt it first hand.
Retailers have been nervous about taking on inventory too early and we have heard the last few years that a lot of them still had inventory in place going into the season. This year Tickle I Elmo has sparked interest in the toy biz again - on his 10 year anniversary. We have seen a bit of an increase and a better mind frame from our retailer base - especially online. One of our small online toy stores had six orders this week for our products. That’s not a lot for big online retailers, but it’s a good indicator for us.
We continue to be optimistic as we head into the season and hope that our non violent basic plush toys that are cuddly and cute will be endearing enough to compete with high tech toys.
